We just returned from our first Grand Canyon/Sedona trip; a soulful and transformative exploration of the Arizona dessert.

This adventure holds such a special place in the hearts of our travelers (and ours) that we already planned the next one!

  • You will meet at Phoenix International Airport* where you’ll meet your guides. You and your group will enjoy a quick lunch in town before making your way to Red Rock Country- Sedona.

    Settle into your hotel before taking an evening warm up hike amongst buttes, towers, spires and more!

    In the evening you’ll have a welcome dinner to discuss the big days ahead. Be sure to take a peek at the desert sunset sky as it becomes painted in beautiful colors.

    *Please arrive by noon to the Phoenix Airport.

  • Early risers can enjoy guided yoga and meditation.

    Enjoy a quick breakfast in town before gaining another Sedona hike experience.

    Take in the never ending red rock views as you learn about the ancient Ananazi people, and maybe experience some Sedona vortex energy!

    The early evening will be spent at your leisure before a home made meal by your guides.

  • Today we will say goodbye to Sedona and make our way north to the Grand Canyon South Rim! Take some time to see the canyon for the first time with a nice warm-up hike.

    In the afternoon, you’ll check into your glamping experience. Have an evening near the campfire, don’t forget about the smores!

  • Today calls for an early start! You’ll spend the entire day hiking the trail down in Grand Canyon National Park.

    Your guides will take you off the beaten path for never ending sights, mesa views, and more. Learn about how the canyon was formed, the park's flora and fauna, park history, and indigenous people.

    While at the Grand Canyon, keep in mind that what goes down- must come up! This is a moderately difficult/ strenuous hike that does require significant elevation gain. Breaks will be taken to ensure safety and accommodate various hiking levels.

    In the evening you’ll be rewarded with views at Desert View Tower and a scrumptious meal back at camp. In the evening, don’t forget to take a look up at the night sky.

  • After packing up at your glamping site and a leisurely breakfast, you’ll say your goodbyes to the southwest desert (or until next time) as you are transferred back to the phoenix airport for your departing flight.

    *Please depart anytime after 4PM from Phoenix

  • Airfare, travel insurance, souvenirs, alcoholic beverages, and anything not detailed in the itinerary.

  • April is an ideal time to visit Sedona and the Grand Canyon! The average high in Sedona is 82°F (28°C) and the average low is 49°F (9°C). The Grand Canyon has slightly cooler temperatures. Expect hot days, but a great relief of cooler nights!

  • You’ll need to arrive in Phoenix, AZ (PHX) by 12pm on April 24th. Please departure from PHX any time after 4pm on April 28th.

  • We classify this trip a difficulty level of 3 out of 5. No prior hiking experience is required, however multi-hour sustained physical exertion will be required for day hikes. There is a potential for elevation gain and up to 6 hours of movement per day. You need to have the ability to carry a day pack with a hydration bladder. Hikes may be optional group and guides depending!

    On the fourth day you’ll be hiking down into the Grand Canyon and what goes down must come up! This is a moderately difficult/ strenuous hike that does require significant elevation gain. Breaks will be taken to ensure safety and accommodate various hiking levels.

  • Sleeping accommodations are 2 night hotel stay and 2 nights glamping as detailed in the itinerary.

    Your first two nights will be at the Matterhorn Inn in Sedona.

    At the Grand Canyon you’ll be enjoying upscale, safari-inspired accommodations featuring real beds, plush linens, wood-burning stoves, a full restaurant and more!

  • All you will need to carry is a daypack for your day hiking adventures. We recommend a daypack that has a chest and waist strap and ability to house a hydration bladder or carry at least 2-3 liters of water.

    In your daypack you’ll be carrying the essentials for hiking during the day such as extra layers, water, sunscreen, hat, snacks, etc.

  • Yes! Most dietary requests can be arranged in advance.

    Incredible meals are provided by the local guides and will help be prepared by all participants.

  • There is access to some electricity at your glamping accommodations via a charging block in each tent.

    Depending on your provider there is generally cell service throughout the trip.

  • Yes, there are hot showers, flushing toilets and sinks at your glamping accommodations.

    At the trail heads there will be access to non-flushing toilets, but when you’re hiking on trail, expect to go to the bathroom in the great outdoors!

    Our guides will show you “leave no trace” practices for elimination on trails and outdoors.

  • It is recommended that you do practice hikes, walks, or strength and cardio conditioning to prepare for this trip.
