You've fallen in love with Camp Yoga and your fellow yogis - it's time to travel to spiritual land of the Mayas in Guatemala! The adventure starts in Antigua surrounded by active volcanoes, artisans and bountiful colonial architecture. We will make our way to Lake Atitlan by car before meeting our boat to take us to our yoga camp across the lake. Here, we have the opportunity to practice yoga in a pristine environment with like-minded wellness seekers. There is plenty of time to shop from the local artisans, relax lakeside and bask in the beauty of this culturally rich country.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1
Welcome to Guatemala & transfer to Antigua
The former capital of colonial Spain, Antigua is one of best preserved colonial cities in the Americas. It is a magical and captivating small town that makes you feel as though time stopped 300 years ago. From its colonial architecture to its beautiful surroundings, strolling through town on cobblestone streets, we will experience the splendors of ancient times! In addition to colonial-era churches, convents and monasteries, we will find many art galleries and exhibits, coffee shops, world-class restaurants, cozy bars and much more.
After passing through customs and collection your baggage, we will meet you at the airport for your transfer to Antigua. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore this beautiful and charming town.
Day 2
Antigua to Lake Atitlan Yoga Forest
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we meet our driver and transfer to Panajachel Lake Atitlan. We will board our private boat and make our way to San Marcos La Laguna, where our gracious hosts meet us for a 25 minute walk to the retreat.
After settling into our idyllic accommodations, we will meet for a welcome yoga and meditation practice overlooking Lake Atitlan. Enjoy some time to get to know your fellow yogis before meeting for our vegetarian group dinner.

Day 3-5
Yoga and wellness activities overlooking Lake Atitlan
Early morning risers may enjoy a group guided meditation. We gather as a group for breakfast before our first morning yoga practice. Enjoy some free time exploring the property, enjoying some quietude or partaking in one of the available activities. For those on property, we will reconvene for a group lunch.
In the early afternoon, we gather as a group to practice yoga (or an alternative wellness gathering) before spending some time getting to know one another.
Evening yoga prior to an evening meditation and breathwork. Overnight stay.

Day 6
Departure
Enjoy a final early morning group yoga class before breakfast at our hotel. We will make our way down to the shores of Lake Atitlan where our boat will be waiting to transfer us to the town of Panajachel to meet our driver. We transfer 3.5-4 hours to the international airport in Guatemala City to meet our flight out.
Optional extensions: Want to extend your stay? We are happy to assist you in booking additional tour, transfers, hotel, etc. We can easily drop you in Antigua or Panajachel if you prefer to plan an extension on your own.

Beautiful corridors lead to the colonial style rooms and a rooftop lounge to enjoy unincombered views of the sun setting behind the volcanoes Agua, Fuego and Acatenango.
San Marcos la Laguna is a small Mayan village on Lake Atitlán in the western highlands of Guatemala. Terraced into the side of a cliff, The Yoga Forest is a twenty five minute hike up into the valley from Lake Atitlán. The highlight is easily the the Shala yoga space offering floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lake.
Offering a variety of private and shared cabins scattered throughout the properties ensures a close connection with nature. There are two shared bathrooms on property.
