DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrive in Palm Springs

Upon arrival in Palm Springs, catch an Uber or Lift to your hotel or hop on the hotel shuttle. Once at the hotel, enjoy a welcome reception and time to relax and soak in the scenery. You have the option to hike nearby trails, explore the neighboring shops, or check out the pool on your own. We'll enjoy a group dinner at 4 Saints, where we can indulge in fresh, seasonal dishes perfect for sharing. 

Day 2

Hiking and Dining

Enjoy breakfast, then meet your hiking guide at the hotel.

Choose your adventure:
Aerial Tram Hiking Tour: Soar from the warm desert floor to the alpine Mountain station at 8,516 feet in approximately fourteen breathtaking minutes. The state-of-the art tramcars from Switzerland are some of the largest in the world, offering a large viewing area and featuring an innovative rotating floor design that provides a 360-degree viewing experience that you will not soon forget! Join your guide on a narrated hike through picturesque Long Valley. The incline from the Mountain Station to the valley floor is fairly steep and may not be accessible for all guests. For guests who choose not to hike, there is a wonderful 22 minute film on the history of the Aerial Tram plus plenty of space to sit and enjoy the spectacular view. Group dinner.

Murray Canyon Hike: Enjoy a guided 3.7 mile round-trip hike across the desert landscape to a lush canyon oasis (Murray Canyon). There are abundant California fan palms and other desert vegetation including cacti, desert willows and cottonwood trees along the trail which wanders through a canyon and along a stream for much of the journey. There is also abundant wildlife, including countless species of insects, birds, lizards, and also some snakes.

Upon return to your hotel, enjoy some downtime to clean up, explore Palm Springs, and take a dip in the pool. Opt to enjoy the hotel happy hour before we will walk (.1 mile) together to Le Valluris Restaurant for a decadent dinner.

Day 3

Jeep Scavenger Hunt and Pool Cabana Day

After breakfast, we will meet for an exploratory team building adventure by Jeep. The rally begins at the hotel where you are given colored bandannas that correspond to your team, one team per jeep. The jeep guides will explain the rules of the rally and give them their team packets, which contains all the items necessary for the competition. Then the teams will jump in their jeeps and the adventure begins!

From the moment guests board their big red jeeps, they will be challenged with riddles about the desert.

For example:

1. Not the Mojave and hotter than sin, what is the name of the desert we’re in?

2. This crack in the Earth is a great divide. To see it up close, a red jeep you should ride.

3. The most common plant in our desert by far, its name is the same as a by-product of tar.

The answers to the riddles are found in our guides’ informative and entertaining tour narration.  We also incorporate some fun, general trivia to keep everyone thinking.  As an option, groups may also provide their own company or meeting specific riddles or trivia which we are happy to incorporate into the rally.

The Scavenger Hunt portion of the event takes place in a narrow canyon loop where teams will have to identify items that are not native to the desert.   Each team is provided with a list of potential items and they must check off the items they see.  However, to keep the teams honest, not all of the items on the list are there.

At the end of the tour, teams will be required to perform a team cheer.

Teams earn points by solving riddles, answering trivia questions, finding scavenger hunt items and performing their team cheer. Bonus points are awarded for creativity!

Upon return to the hotel, take some time to clean up and grab a bite to eat. We’ll meet in the afternoon at our private pool cabana.

Tonight’s 4 Saints dinner will be served after the hotel happy hour at the well-appointed Jacinto room, located on the top floor of our hotel.

Day 4

Farewell

Enjoy a final breakfast before saying goodbye. When you are ready, call an Uber or Lift to take you to the airport.
