DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrive at the Liberia Airport

Arrival at Liberia International Airport (LIR) and pass through immigration and customs. Upon departure, find your driver holding a sign with your name on it. Transfer to your beachside house (about 1 hour) and settle in. Our chef will meet you and begin preparing your first meal. Relax and enjoy.

Las Catalinas

The newly created, planned pedestrian town of Las Catalinas in Guanacaste is embraced by over 1,000 acres of spectacular tropical dry forest hills and valleys with 40 kilometers of exceptional mountain biking trails, which are also excellent for hiking and trail running. The town sits on a small peninsula on the Guanacaste coast by the beautiful Danta and Sugar beaches. All houses are fully staffed and there is a concierge department.

Day 2

Free Day

After a leisurely breakfast prepared and served in your house, the day is yours. Opt to explore the beach, hike the nearby mountains, rent a mountain bike or SUP board, or simply sit at the beach club sipping a coconut. In the evening, meet your chef at the house for another lovely evening together.

DAY 3

Kayaking and Picnic Lunch

Gather for a hot breakfast prepared in house before your kayak adventure. Late morning, we will gather on the beach for an exploration by kayak. Your guided trip ventures across the cove where we can drop anchor or beach the kayaks, and snorkel along the reefs. Along the way, your guide will help find high-activity areas based on tides, wind, and currents, and then dive in with you to point out fish and other marine life. Enjoy a picnic lunch beachside before returning to your house for a free evening to explore the local restaurants on your own.

Day 6

Adios

Enjoy a final breakfast in your house. Make your way up to the lobby and meet your driver for your transfer to the Liberia International Airport for your flight out.

10 Punta Penca is a five bedroom, five and a half bathroom home right on the coast in Las Catalinas, located just a short walk from the beach among the hills of town. With an open and airy vibe, views of the ocean, town, and nature, as well as a large central infinity pool and covered outdoor social spaces suited to families and groups of friends, this home is can host up to 12 guests for a stay of any length.

Throughout the home, there is a constant connection to the beautiful surroundings present in town. Views range from full to expansive in nearly every room of the home, and a number of open air spaces create a natural sociability among the outdoors.

The interior design is a traditional modern beach style with a neutral color palate and pops of Costa Rican blue alongside Guanacaste wood furnishings, further enhancing the gentle influence of nature on the entirety of the home.

Upon entry, you are greeted by a delightful foyer which easily welcomes light into the home with a view towards the ocean. From there, there is immediate access into the Master suite, with an expansive view out to the sea, en suite master bathroom, and king bed. The home then proceeds through a large living room filled with natural light from floor to ceiling windows, as well as a comprehensively equipped chef’s kitchen suited to professional quality cooking in the home. 

One of the highlights of the home is 10 Punta Penca’s large central infinity pool, which features a stunning view out over town to the ocean and the sunset beyond, complemented by a spacious pool terrace that balances a tremendous outdoor atmosphere with a pleasant privacy. Further up, the office tower and its twin balconies provide a panoramic view of town, a private space to get away from the action, and a possible sixth bedroom through its sofa bed.

10 Punta Penca is particularly well suited for a large family, with each bedroom featuring en-suite bathroom and tremendous views, as well as a double washer and dryer to make laundry a simple and quick process. Combined with the home’s House Mom, who helps out every morning with cleaning the home and cooking breakfast, vacation in 10 Punta Penca really feels like vacation.

Casa de Tom is a five-bedroom, five-bathroom beachfront house, featuring a traditional courtyard garden with an elegant fountain that connects the guest house with the main house.

The main house at Casa de Tom features two large and luxurious bedrooms opening onto spacious wraparound porches with hammocks and rocking chairs. Each offers ocean views and a private bathroom. The third guest bedroom features a king bed and overlooks the ocean as well. Escape to the downstairs spacious living areas opening to a great BBQ spot and an infinity edge pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Relax in the guest house featuring two comfortable bedrooms and a private bathroom. The downstairs bedroom features a king bed with immediate access to the courtyard, and the upstairs bedroom offers two bunk beds with a delightful terrace overlooking the ocean.

All rooms and areas feature A/C, ceiling fans, TV, WiFi, and phone. All houses offer Signature House Mom Service, concierge service, and beach club access.
