Q: What's your favorite book?

A: The first book that comes to mind is Braiding Sweetgrass. Robin Wall Kimmerer describes nature in the most exquisite way. Her prose and story-telling are like a warm embrace.

Q: What are your favorite self-care practices?

A: Baths with lavender epsom salt and candles. Dancing to music that I love. Massage with my favorite oil. Baking elaborate cookies.

Q: What's your favorite place to travel and why? I have a deep love for the water and mountains. If you put them together, I am in heaven.

A: I used to live in Wyoming, and every spring we’d drive down to visit the orange-red grippy rock of Utah. The unique arches and formations shaped by time, wind, and water mesmerize me. My favorite mountain bike trail starts in the high desert alpine zone, and it is covered with Indian Paintbrush. The end of the trail follows the Colorado River. I love the diversity of this landscape. The cactus and cliffs and all the dramatic views humble me. Whether it’s sunny or storming, I feel vulnerable and alive in the desert, and I love that feeling.
