Q: What's your favorite book?

A: Tough question, but I have found myself rereading “Lonesome Dove” by Larry McMurtry at least three times now, making it a strong contender. I’m a big fan of western novels, and have always been drawn to stories set in landscapes similar to the ones that have pulled me West, myself. Not just another cowboy story, “Lonesome Dove” asks us questions and contains themes that are bigger than ourselves, such as loneliness, death, and friendship. I’m always tearing up by the end!

Q: What are your favorite self-care practices?

A: Dancing! I love moving my body, and I find dancing is a great way to get out of my head - particularly with a good disco beat.

Q: What's your favorite place to travel and why? I have a deep love for the water and mountains. If you put them together, I am in heaven.

A: Alaska! To me, life is being lived most fully when I can hear a loon in the distance with a backdrop of endless mountains. Truly a magical place that speaks to a deeper part of myself!
